Our hybrid model
Getting a book deal with a traditional publisher is more difficult than ever. Even if you succeed, the publisher can make drastic changes to your vision for the book, and you will only see a small percentage of the profits in return.
Hybrid publishing offers a different way. You pay the up-front costs for book production: editing, typesetting, cover design, metadata, preparing files for the printer, and listing the book with distributors.
As a result you get more control over your book and receive all the profits from book sales. Sound interesting?

In 2014 I co-founded Camphor Press, an independent publisher focused on East Asia. Camphor Press now has 120 books in print and a reputation for quality.
